What Happens in a Session

Each session is 2 hours and during the session there will be a lot of discussion and you will be given homework. You will watch you site grow before your eyes, not as an act of magic but from your own skills.

The 1st Session will focus on a Review of your Business, current Sales & Marketing Processes and to set and Agenda for further meetings. Sessions always work best if you have a clear idea of what you want to achieve.

Initially you will probably want to have these sessions once per week. Once you have found your feet you can then just book a session here and there as you get into new territory or want to try a new campaign. This gives you the skills to run your own site with confidence and know that you have detailed help available when you need it.

There are an amazing number of web site builder applications out there and I haven't used them all. So please be sure that you are familiar with at least the standard operations of your system; things like adding a page, navigation, uploading images and files etc. to save a lot of wasted session time.

 

FAQ

What is the difference between Tutoring, Training and Consulting? - Tutoring is really aimed at micro-businesses where the site owner is the person who is building their web site in a CMS or similar web builder application and needs help in learning how to build good pages or handle a specific situation. The emphasis is on simplicity and performing tasks. Training is for larger organizations who have staff whose job involves building and maintaining the company web site. The initial training for a new web site built by BRM Web Consulting is always charged at the Tuition Rate. Consulting is far more strategy based. If you are unsure which service you really need please don't hesitate to contact me.

Will you Build my site or pages for me? - I can, but that is either a Consulting or Web Site building service.

Can you make my site Rank #1 on Google? - No. Anyone who says they will is fibbing to you. I can show you what you can do to help your web site rank for relevant terms or how to set up AdWords. Be aware that often, more than a tweak to the words on a page is required, so to do the job properly may require Strategy.

Why don't I seem to be able to learn this stuff? - Anyone can learn anything they set themselves to. Attitude is everything. If you believe that it is too hard for you, it will be. If you believe you can get it, you will. I will try to keep you positive and enthused but really that is your job. Just think of the money you can earn when you get your site firing. That should bring back the passion.

Why do I have to pay (so much) for this service? - You don't. It is entirely up to you. There are a lot of wonderful resources on the web that can teach you lots of things - this site has a lot of articles. I am good at what I do and can help you to fast track your learning and results. Because I focus on the big picture I will also be giving you pointers on the "sellability" of what you are doing. If you learn to sell better it stands to reason that you will make more money.
